Polyacrylamide is a versatile polymer used in various applications across different industries due to its properties such as high water solubility, biocompatibility, and ability to form gels.
Oil Industry
Polymers have many applications in oilfield development and production.
1. Enhanced oil recovery (also known as “tertiary oil recovery”). It is a polymer solution injected into the reservoir to displace underground crude oil. Polymer molecular weight is generally required to be very high, has a strong viscidity. Polymers of medium anion are commonly used.
2. In drilling mud, the polymer plays a role in regulating rheology, reducing water loss, diluting bentonite and controlling the expansion of water-sensitive clay. Anionic polymers are commonly used. Different molecular weight and anion degree were selected according to their different functions.
3. Water plugging of oil Wells and profile control of injection Wells. The aqueous polymer solution is injected into the formation and cross-linked in the formation to form a gel. In this way, the permeability of high water cut stratum can be reduced and the water profile of injection well can be improved.
4. Treatment of oily sewage produced from oil Wells. The polymer can assist and accelerate air flotation or centrifugal separation of the oil-water mixture, making the purified water available for re-injection or discharge.
5. Medium anionic and high molecular weight polymers can reduce the friction resistance of water flow in the pipe. Therefore, adding a small amount of polymer to the water can increase the amount of water transported by the pipeline or reduce the power consumption of the drain pump under the condition that the caliber and length of the pipeline remain unchanged.
Water treatment
Polyacrylamide, as a flocculant, can be widely used in industrial waste water, mixed industrial-domestic wastewater, sewage treatment.
Polyacrylamide is widely used as a flocculant in water purification processes to help remove suspended solids from water by promoting particle aggregation.
1. Anionic polyacrylamide (Nonionic polyacrylamide)
Anionic polyacrylamide and Nonionic polyacrylamide widely used in oil, metallurgy, electricity chemical, Coal, paper, printing, leather, pharmaceutical food, building materials and so on for flocculating and solid-liquid separation process, meanwhile widely used in industrial wastewater treatment.
2. Cationic Polyacrylamide
Cation Polyacrylamide widely used in industrial wastewater ,sludge dewatering for municipal and flocculating setting. Cationic polyacrylamide with different ionic degree can be selected according to different sludge and sewage properties.
Textile industry
Our polymer used for sizing has the following characteristics: excellent bond between strands; High performance on thousands of looms; There is little chance of the yarn sticking to the reel; No deposits on the slurry and loom; Easy to configure; Easy pulping
The application of polymer in the textile industry has the following aspects:
1, As a thickening agent added to the dye, so that the dye has the right rheological property, high viscosity at low shear rate, prevent the dye in the static flow, diffusion. In this way the printed pattern has a very clear edge; But at high shear rates the dye viscosity is very low, making it easy to print and dye operation.
2, As a sizing material can protect the yarn, reduce the number of broken ends, improve the wear resistance of yarn in textile, reduce fuzz. The slurry is weakly bonded to the fabric and only works temporarily.

Paper chemicals
Paper industry is one of the most water-consuming industries, and also a large user of water-soluble polymers. The use of polymers can increase the production capacity of paper machines, improve paper quality, reduce water consumption and reduce the harmful impact of paper making on the environment.
1. Dispersing Agent for Paper Making
In paper making process, PAM is used as dispersing agent to prevent fiber agglomeration and improve paper evenness. Low addition amount can promote the good dispersion of paper fiber and excellent paper forming effect, improving the evenness of pulp and the softness of paper, and increasing the strength of paper.
2. Retention and Filter Agent for Paper Making
It can improve the retention rate of fiber, filler and other chemicals, bringing clean and stable wet chemical environment, saving the consumption of pulp and chemicals, reducing production costs, and improving paper quality and paper machine production efficiency. Good retention and filter agent is the prerequisite and necessary factor to ensure the smooth operation of the paper machine and good paper quality. High molecular weight polyacrylamide is more widely suitable for different PH value. (PH range 4-10)
